How DataVault keeps files safe DataVault ensures the integrity of the files you deposit over their lifetime - it has the following features to prevent the corruption of your data: Every deposit is saved to three widely seperated locations. At the time of deposit, the individual files are checksummed on their way into the archive and then compared against the originals. DataVault stores the checksums so they can be checked on retrieval. Should a checksum comparison reveal any corruption in part of the data, it will be restored from one of the other two backups. This article was published on 2024-08-21
