Edit your staff research profile on Pure You need to have a current Staff record in Pure to be able to log in to Pure. If you are unable to log in to Pure, please contact your College/School Pure representative or pure@ed.ac.uk Please note that Pure is incompatible with Internet Explorer - please use other browsers, e.g. Chrome, Firefox or Safari, to access Pure. Pure Profile Checklist Whether you are new to Pure or have been a user for a while, you might like to reflect on how effectively your Pure profile represents you and your research as well as the outputs and impact of that research. Please refer to the guides below when adding information to your Pure profile and use the checklist below to ensure your profile is up-to-date and ready for display on ERE. Personal identification Are your name and titles displayed correctly? Personal Names and titles are taken from your HR record. If these are not correct, please contact your HR team. Profile information and Profile photograph Does your research profile include current information about your research? Use the Edit Profile - Curriculum and research description guide to learn how to update the profile information that is displayed on your profile page. Photographs are displayed prominently in the new Edinburgh Research Explorer. If a photograph is not uploaded to Pure, this space will be filled with a grey outline. Use the Edit Profile - Personal identification guide to learn how to update your profile photograph and other personal identification information. A short video has been created demonstrating how to add a profile photograph and update personal identification. Click on the ≡ in the top left hand corner of the video to skip to different sections. Highlighted content Are there any of your publications that you would specifically like to appear on your Profile page? If yes, then add these publications to the Highlighted Content section in your Pure profile. Use the Pure - Highlighted Content guide to add publications to the Highlighted content section of your Pure profile. Research outputs Is your research content in Pure recorded correctly? Are there any errors in the research type, or has work been incorrectly attributed to you? Learn how to Fix your content and make sure your research profile is accurate. Claim content Is there already a research output record in Pure of your research? You can ask to be added to this existing record by claiming the record. Please use the guide below to claim content. Use the Claim content to be added to existing research output Fingerprints Are you happy with the Fingerprints that are displayed on your profile page? Fingerprints are automatically generated indexes of weighted terms that define and connect content in Pure. If you have connected your ORCID profile to your Pure profile, you are then able to export the research outputs on your Pure profile to your ORCID profile. Scopus Author ID You may want to add your Scopus author ID to your Pure profile to enable an automated search for content in Scopus. Connecting your staff Profile Page to Pure You may wish to add information about your research to your staff Profile Page on Edweb. The publications tab in your Edweb profile allows you to include information from Pure by adding your UUID. Alternatively, you can use the Pure widget.
