The team looks after the system administration, training and reporting for the University's various Research Information Management systems, including Pure, Worktribe, Research Professional and Equipment.data. Research Information Systems (RIS) team is a multidisciplinary team drawing on their experience of research processes and user support from across the University and beyond to provide a service focused on the research information management needs of the University across the research lifecycle. From supporting pre and post award processes right through to the dissemination of our research outputs the Research Information Systems Team are here to provide the University with tools, applications, advice and support needed to enable the research community to undertake their roles and responsibilities. We’re uniquely placed and have an overview of this “end-to-end” research management workflow. From Worktribe to Pure we provide and support the tools which underpin research processes within the University. Working with our users, whether they be in the Edinburgh Research Office or across our Colleges/Schools/Institutes/Centres, we act as the glue which brings together these communities of practice and ensures local needs are heard by wider user communities across the UK and beyond. We also play a fundamental role in supporting the reporting of our research activity, whether that be through the provision of data for the reporting community, or to external exercises like Researchfish and REF.
