Publish with Edinburgh Diamond

Interested in publishing with us? Find everything you need below.

We publish books, conference proceedings and journals. To be considered for the Edinburgh Diamond service, the main editor or author must be affiliated with the University of Edinburgh, whether by being an academic, researcher, professional staff member or student. We accept works that are co-edited or co-authored with people from other institutions globally.

If you are submitting a student-led journal for consideration, the journal must meet the following criteria to ensure a smooth handover between outgoing student editors (as they graduate) and new incoming student editors. The journal:

  • must be affiliated with a specific course or society
  • must have an academic sponsor (your academic sponsor is a permanent member of staff involved with your course or society who has agreed to be an ambassador for the journal. They are unlikely to work on the journal itself but agree to facilitate editorial team changes when students are unable to do so themselves.).

If you're looking to publish Diamond Open Access then Edinburgh Diamond could be the right home for you! Discover what is and isn't included in the Edinburgh Diamond service to see if it's suitable for your needs.

Our Terms of Service lay out our expectations of all Edinburgh Diamond users. This will help you know what to expect if the Edinburgh Diamond team accept your proposal.

Submitting a book or journal for consideration is easy! You just fill in our online form with information about yourself, the book/journal/conference proceedings and the people involved, then wait for us to be in touch.

Further Information

We publish content in all disciplines and subject areas. However, we will not host content that discriminates against characteristics protected by law.
