The School of Scottish Studies was established in 1951 to collect, preserve, research, and publish material relating to the cultural traditions and folklore of Scotland. In 1970 they set up small fieldwork project to film cloth waulking in South Uist. Discover the reason behind this traditional practice and some of the equipment used to create the film.
