The Philippines. This collection of about 200 items on the Philippines was bequeathed in 1917 by Dr. Daniel Macintosh Forbes. There are some outstanding examples of early printing in Manila and some fine Spanish books about the islands. The collection is scattered across the General and Special Collections. The books are all listed in the pre-1985 typescript catalogue and there are online records for some of them. The Centre for Research Collections maintains files which allow the collection to be virtually reconstructed. This article was published on 2024-08-21
