Dante and Italy. This collection of some 200 items on Italian studies, particularly Dante, was bequeathed to the Library by Dr. A.S. Cumming in 1939. Most of the books are 19th or 20th century, but the collection does include a copy of Dante’s 'La divina commedia' printed at Venice in 1491 (Inc.113*) The books are all listed in the pre-1985 typescript catalogue and there are online records for some of them. All books have shelfmarks starting “Cum. Coll.” This article was published on 2024-08-21
