Exam Papers Online

Exam Papers Online is provided by the Library and gives access for staff and students of the University of Edinburgh to the University's collected degree examination papers. They can be used by students as a study aid. The collection includes most papers from the academic year 2004/05 to date.

Revision guidance

The relevance of past exam papers will vary greatly between courses so always ask your course organiser or programme administrator whether consulting past papers will be helpful for revision.

Marking guides and sample solutions

These are not provided. Please contact your course organiser or programme administration team to find out if any have been created for your course and how to access them.

Special note - Spring 2020

For many courses, the provision of exams in Spring 2020 differs from previous years due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Printed exam papers

Bound volumes of older sets of papers (pre 2004/05) are now held in the University Collections Facility. They are available on request.

Papers can be removed from the web pages on request. Please email the Exam Papers Online team with details of the academic year and course title and the reason for your request.
