Prescribe Culture Silent Book Club

The Prescribe Culture Silent Book Clubs meet monthly over lunchtime.

Our Prescribe Culture Silent Book Club meets on the last Thursday of each month, from 1-2-pm.

Members simply bring a book, or other reading material, of their choice. We read quietly, together, for half an hour, and then enjoy conversation about our books and/or life in general over a ‘bring-your-own’ lunchbox.

The location of the Silent Book Club aims to vary but all will be within a 5-minute walk of the University Old College.

Prescribe Culture’s Silent Book Club has been created to support those who are experiencing challenges with their mental health and/or the impact of loneliness or isolation. In light of this, we have a small team of PC Silent Book Club Hosts who are very happy to chat with or meet any member in advance of their first Book Club session simply to ensure every member feels welcome and relaxed about attending.

To register for the Silent Book Club please just email PrescribeCulture@ed.ac.uk or complete and return the referral form found here:
