Library collections and resources

The Library is full of fantastic collections and resources to help you explore climate and nature as part of your learning, inspire curiosity and research and to support well-being and enjoyment.

Visit our Wellbeing collection on the 1st floor of the Main Library. The collection contains resources on all aspects of wellbeing, including eco-anxiety.

Coming soon: Seed bank

We are planning to offer a seed bank, where you can pick up some wild flower seeds to sow in your own patch.

Our climate emergency subject guide will direct you to a range of resources that can help you learn more about the climate emergency. It includes book recommendations, podcasts, and a list of databases.

We have also created a Sustainability Resources list relating to the climate crisis and sustainability.

Heritage Collections

Heritage Collections look after the University’s cultural heritage. Our collections span thousands of years and are diverse in content and format, from rare books and archives to oral histories, geological and anatomical collections, musical instruments and artworks.

Amongst our vast collections, we have items that speak loudly and clearly about our relationships with the natural world, with matters of climate and sustainability and with our colonial past and how these issues reverberate through time and place.

We are putting together case studies to reflect on individual collection items and what they can tell us about our changing world.
