Description: a-n's purpose is to stimulate and support contemporary visual arts practice and to affirm the value of artists in society through advocacy and information, from the perspective of practicing artists. The a-n website offers straightforward routes to information of relevance to all engaged in the visual arts. A-n aims to represent the many voices, industry insights and wide range of activities within contemporary visual arts today. Resources include a Knowledge Bank, a Publications section and a Jobs and Opportunities section. All users can access the a-n archive of jobs and opportunities, for learning purposes. Because the University of Edinburgh Library is a member of JISC, all students can get a free student membership, giving them free access to a-n Current Jobs and Opportunities listings. Just enter the promotion code listed on the password page when you sign up at https://www.a-n.co.uk/register-student. Student membership allows full access to current jobs and opportunities, and enables members to post news on the a-n site, keep a blog, and so on.
