Library Catalogue Many of our rare books are catalogued onto the University of Edinburgh’s online catalogue. Collections are also listed in the pre-1986 sheaf catalogue available for consultation in the library. New College Library holdings are included in the online English Short Title Catalogue (ESTC), a union catalogue for books printed in the English language or in Britain and its dominions before 1801. Archive, object and picture collections are catalogued on archival handlists available in New College Library. Some of our collections are also listed online. A growing collection of images from the unique items in our collections are available on the University of Edinburgh image database.
