Find out about the EORC2027 Bursaries, including information about eligibility and scope. Eligible applicants are postgraduate students, early-career researchers (graduated from their PhD in the past 5 years), technicians, and early career professional services staff working in Open Research. Researchers and professional services staff at any career stage from low- and middle-income countries may also apply. The main criteria for award of a bursary shall be the quality of the conference submission, these shall be judged blind and only those accepted for the conference will then be considered for a bursary. What the bursary can cover Only economy-class travel (train, plane, public transport, etc.) and accommodation costs can be covered by the bursary. This means that the bursary cannot be used to cover visa costs or incidental expenses (such as food and drink). How much will it cover The bursary can only cover accommodation and travel expenses up to 80% of costs, to a maximum of £400. Reimbursement Receipts will be required for reimbursement. We will arrange for reimbursement up to the allocated amount after confirmed attendance at the conference. How to apply for the bursary Please include a short supporting statement of ~200 words along with your conference contribution submission (there is space at the end of the submissions form). Please indicate your career stage (e.g. PhD student, graduate within the past 5 years), and where you will be travelling from.
