Why not watch some interviews with two of the artists who have created public art work on the University of Edinburgh campus. They tell us a little bit about the inspiration behind their work. Next week we'll be asking you to research an artist, so if you like, you could choose one of these two and use what you learn in the video. Talks this week A reminder that Holly Yeoman from the Edinburgh Arts Festival will be giving a talk about what they do as an arts organisation and the public art work they are trying to commission on Monday 13th of July at 3pm - 4pm. Sarah Burry-Hayes, coordinator of University Museums in Scotland (UMIS), will give a talk about what UMIS is, and what the different instutions involved in it do, on Thursday 16th July at 2pm. These talks are optional but are a good opportunity to complete the 'Research an Arts Organisation' activity if you haven't already done it. I'll post the link for the talks in our Team. Enjoy the activities and let us know if you have any questions! This article was published on 2024-08-21
