The DSLR cameras are in high demand and booking at least a week in advance is recommended. Summary of loan terms and conditions Loan allowance Loan equipment can be borrowed for individual project or private use. Multiple items of the same type (for example, more than one DSLR camera) for group use won't be provided within a single loan transaction. However, multiple items of different types (for example, one DSLR, one tripod and one audio recorder) will be permitted. Loan period The loan period will not usually exceed a week but this can be flexible, depending on requirements and availability. Liability At the collection appointment, borrowers are required to sign a loan form which states their agreement to pay for the repair or replacement of any borrowed item which is damaged, lost or stolen while on loan to them. Proof of ID University ID must be produced when collecting the equipment. Without it, a loan cannot be processed. Collection and return Loan bookings must be made through the IS Helpline and collection and return of equipment is arranged strictly by appointment. Please note that this is not a drop-in or short notice service. Loan equipment must be collected from and returned to room 1416 James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB), King's Buildings (KB). It cannot be delivered to or collected from anywhere else on or off-campus. There is a free and frequent semester-time University shuttle-bus service between the Central Area and King's Buildings (University ID must be shown to travel). Campus to campus journey time is less than 15 minutes.
