Description:

Literature Online is a very comprehensive, integrated library of thousands of primary literary texts, literary criticism and reference resources. The Core Collection provides access to the full text of more than 350,000 works of poetry, drama, and prose in English from the eighth century to the present day, and from throughout the English-speaking world. Authors writing in any language who are featured in criticism or reference materials are also indexed. Therefore about 2,000 authors of over 100 different nationalities are covered. Literature Online also contains over 400 full-text scholarly journals from the field of literary and cultural studies, as well as 17 literary dictionaries or encyclopaedias, and important bibliographies like MLA and ABELL. The Video and Audio section provides 880 clips of poets reading their own or other poets' works, as well as fully dramatized audio recordings of Shakespeare's 38 plays.

Apart from the Core Collection, we also have access to African Writers Series, Black Writing Collection and World Literature Collection.
