Description: Full-text of current, withdrawn and historical ASTM standards as well as ASTM journals and technical publications. ASTM was formerly known as the American Society for Testing and Materials.

British Standards Online

Access information:Access on and off campus. 
Description:Full-text of over 39,000 current, draft and historic British Standards, more than 16,000 of which are BSI adopted European and International Standards (ISO) including the full-text of all Eurocodes. As of June 2023, we subscribe to the Wiring Regulations Collection and the BSI Unadopted ISO (full collection). An email alert service is available to track any changes in selected current Standards.

Description:The Construction Information Service provides instant full-text access to current regulations, standards, technical advice and a vast array of related news and briefings. Key institutes and organisations that contribute to the service include: IStructE, CIRIA, CIOB, SCI, The Concrete Society, TRL, AJ, BSRIA, RIAI.

Description: E-book collection from ICE (the Institution of Civil Engineers) covering construction materials, contracts, Eurocodes, ground engineering, management, structures and buildings, waste and wastewater, etc.
  Most titles are available, with "S" in title list indicating access is available.

IEEE Xplore Digital Library

Description:

The IEEE Electronic Library (IEL) contains one-third of the world’s current literature in electrical engineering, communications, and computing. Get access to nearly 6 million full-text documents, including:

  • Over 1.3 million articles from 206 top-cited IEEE journals, magazines, and transactions.
  • Over 4.2 million conference papers from as far back as 1936.
  • Approximately 5,000 IEEE standards documents, excluding drafts.
  • Proceedings from IET conferences and events.
  • IEEE Redline Versions of Standards (where available), select VDE conference papers, IET’s E&T Magazine, and seminal articles from Bell Labs Technical Journal archive.
