Request a Book (RaB) service for students

Use the RaB (Request a Book) service for students to tell us when we do not have a book you require in our collection, and we will try to buy it for the Library.

The Library has an e-preference policy for books and will purchase an e-book rather than a print book where an e-version is available.

Please note that at busy periods when the Library has to focus on fulfilling purchase requests from course organisers for Semester 1 and Semester 2 teaching materials, there may be delays in responding to requests submitted via the RaB service.

Use the RaB online form to tell us what book you would like us to add to the Library collection

Other options

Alternatively, you may prefer to submit an Inter-Library Loan request to borrow a print copy of the book which is held in another library, or you could request a chapter via the Scan & Deliver service.

What we have purchased

During the 2022/23 academic session, the Library acquired more than 2,000  books in response to requests submitted by students.
